Begin by reaching out to your local shelter and filing out an application. A coordinator will walk you through the steps and provide you with all the supplies you need. Then it’s happy fostering!
Fostering does not take up much room. You can use a collapsable play pen, an adjustable plastic pen or even your bathroom.
No. The shelter will supply you with everything you need such as a play pen, food, kitty litter and toys. They also provide any medical treatment with a full veterinarian staff.
A typical engagement is 4-6 weeks depending on their needs.
